I can do a variety of things for your guide, and I'm always
open to new ideas. Often though, I develop a comprehension check, I’ve been a teacher for more than ten years, and have developed more literature based units than I care to admit. I also have my master’s degree in reading education, and am a children’s author myself. In addition, I write guides for the publishers themselves, and their formats are often changing! But, the best part is that I love to match eager learners and frazzled teachers up with the best new literature available today. For an example, check out the ones listed below. "Tracie Zimmer is my one-stop-shop for teacher guides!"
"Tracie
Vaughn Zimmer's Teacher Guides are top-notch! They elicit an in-depth,
clear understanding of the book featured, giving the teacher a
powerful, professionally prepared teaching resource of highest quality.
Recommended without reservation!”
“As an author
of Native American books, I was well aware of their curriculum
tie-in potential but lacked the education background to translate it
into teacher speak. Zimmer's fun and thoughtful lesson plans carry
my books into classrooms.”
“Tracie
Zimmer did a fabulous guide for my book, Breathing Underwater. The multiple
intelligence projects are a great way to include all students. Teachers I've
spoken with loved the comprehension questions grouped around the different
categories in Bloom's Taxonomy. A guide like this provides teachers with a way
to use my book to prepare for standardized tests where this sort of question is
asked in the writing requirement.”
"Tracie Vaughn Zimmer is adept at gleaning
learning opportunities from stories. Her teacher's guides complement and
expand works of fiction, and when applied, will ensure that students get the
utmost learning experience from reading a book. I highly recommend her
service!"
